Picking Out Nice Shoes

without comments

The kind of shoes you buy will largely depend on what you want to do in them.  Think to yourself, what are you looking for?  If you want some tennis shoes or running shoes to wear around the house or to the park, you might end up going to a different store than if you are looking for dress shoes to wear to a wedding.  Once you decide exactly what you are looking for, get the yellow pages or the internet going and find the store that sells the kind of shoes you are looking for.

You might be looking for a bargain and want to try the local department store.  Make sure you are wearing a nice clean pair of the socks you will wear with the shoes you are buying.  Go to the store and start browsing.  If you go to a shoe store, no doubt a salesman will come up to you and ask if they can help you find something.  If you are offered help, take advantage.  Just be aware that salesmen like to get you buying more expensive shoes than maybe you were looking for.  Nevertheless, a salesman will be helpful in finding what you are looking for.

Look over a good selection of different shoes to compare them.  Use your own taste to decide if you like one style more than another.  Then comes the most important part of the whole experience, trying on the shoes.  Lace up the shoes if they have laces and try them on.  Make sure the shoe fits properly.  There is nothing worse than getting a pair of shoes that does not fit properly.  You will have to walk around in these things all day, so try walking around in them at the store.  Be sure the shoes do not rub your foot, especially on the instep, as this could lead to blisters.  If the shoes are comfortable and they look nice, then you are done.

Beware of buying shoes that have to be broken in.  Modern materials should fit and be comfortable from the start.  If a shoe is stiff and pinches your foot, it will probably make your feet sore.  Look for something that supports your foot well and feels better than being barefoot.  A good shoe will cradle your foot, and you will not even feel it.  You do not want your toes being pinched or your heel slipping around from a shoe that is the wrong size.  Shoe stores have gauges for measuring your feet.  Believe the measuring device, not your own prejudices about what size you think you are.

A good pair of shoes will look nice and save your feet from a lot of wear and tear.  Knowing what you want is the first thing you will have to decide.  If you must bring another person to help you pick out shoes, make sure they do not try to talk you into buying something that is not comfortable.  Style might be important, but suffering for fashion is just plain stupid.

Brad’s Deals

without comments

Brad Wilson has a website where you can get discount coupons on various items.  I checked out this site a couple minutes ago.  There were coupons for vacuum cleaners, computers, discounts on restaurants and a lot of other items you might buy online.

I tried to hook up with some of the general purpose discount coupons and printable store coupons, but I got some errors loading pages.  It seems there were too many connections at the time I was trying to access this information.  A lot of people are hooking up to this site this morning.  In fact, when I tried to reload the page there was no response.

If you are looking for a way to save some money on stuff you buy online you might check out this site.  It seemed like there were some good discounts on items and it’s set up so you just have to click on a coupon and it takes you right to the retailer’s ordering website and even puts a number one in the quantity of the add to cart button.  It’s always nice to save some cash on things you need.
